The challenge
Choosing an event often starts with a question rather than a search term. A visitor may know when they are free or what kind of evening they want, but not which listing to open. The team also receives routine questions that take time away from more involved enquiries.
The approach
I worked on the concierge chatbot for Some Plans Together. Visitors can ask common questions and get help choosing events in the same conversation. The brief was to automate routine enquiries that managers would otherwise answer themselves.
The project, in detail
The images show the interface and its context. Captions distinguish project archives from current-site views.
Start with what the visitor needs
The chatbot gives people a way to ask for help in their own words. The task is to connect a question about plans with useful event options rather than make the visitor start from a blank catalogue.
Keep common questions out of the inbox
FAQ answers are part of the same conversation. Routine information should be available where the visitor is already asking for help, reducing the need for managers to repeat it manually.
Make the next step clear
Event suggestions give visitors a useful next step after asking for help. The conversation connects their plans with the event catalogue, so they can continue exploring a suitable option.
The conversation on a phone
The public homepage shows how an evening request becomes event suggestions. Trying the chatbot itself requires an account.
The outcome
FAQ and event-selection chatbot
Automate routine manager enquiries
