video data and payment integrations
I focus on the seams between sign-in, video data and payments; each integration has to fit the existing revenue-sharing model.

The challenge
The media startup needed engineering support for a platform connecting video creators and participants in a revenue-sharing model. Account access, video information and money movements had to work together within the existing product.
The approach
The assigned Laravel backend work covered: Google sign-in, YouTube data retrieval and Stripe Connect payments. The scope also covered local video search and the scheduled calculation and invoicing workflow.
The project, in detail
Identity and video data
Google sign-in simplifies account creation, while the YouTube API supplies video information used by the platform. These integrations connect external identities and media records to the application’s own data model.
Payment and distribution steps
Stripe Connect handles transaction payments and the platform’s commission. The quarterly workflow calculates amounts, creates invoices and distributes received funds according to the platform’s rules; it is an accounting mechanism, not a forecast of returns.
Finding videos inside the product
Local search adds a search field, tag-based discovery and a dedicated results page. This gives the product a browsable catalogue alongside its payment and account functions.
The outcome
The assigned identity, media-data, payment and search integrations implemented in the platform.
