TopDialog
an editorial interface for a busy regional news stream
I see editorial hierarchy as the central product decision: a live news stream still needs a clear lead story and readable mobile flow.

The challenge
A regional news site must help readers understand what matters now without flattening every story into the same priority. TopDialog needed an editorial homepage that combined a live news stream, thematic coverage and advertising, while remaining readable on phones.
The approach
The WordPress news website uses several distinct content modules. The homepage starts with current stories rather than a decorative full-screen introduction, allowing the editorial team to control how the day’s coverage is presented.
The project, in detail
The images show the interface and its context. Captions distinguish project archives from current-site views.
Editorial choice alongside automatic selection
The lead-story area can be managed manually or populated according to publication-period rules. An individual story can be pinned outside the slider, giving editors a clear way to distinguish a major item from the surrounding stream.
A feed that remains easy to scan
Topic blocks, a digest and an advertising module coexist with a scrolling news list. Publication times are shown precisely, and mobile layouts retain a restrained reading hierarchy. This gives editors multiple presentation tools without making the reader navigate a different interface for every section.
The outcome
Configurable lead stories and thematic homepage modules
Responsive news feed with clear publication timing
