DGL.ru
improving an established technology publication
I worked on the existing WordPress publication with OnePix, improving section navigation, the mobile news feed and content distribution.

The challenge
DGL.ru already had a substantial archive and an established theme. The task was to improve how readers and external distribution channels reached that content without replacing the publication’s whole system. Its storage structure made feed work more involved than exporting a simple post list.
The approach
The existing frontend and backend were customised for specific editorial requirements. The scope included navigation, additional sections, a distribution feed and changes to the mobile reading experience.
The project, in detail
The images show the interface and its context. Captions distinguish project archives from current-site views.
A feed built around the real content model
The Yandex Zen integration required collecting and formatting articles from the theme’s actual data structure. The implementation focused on producing the expected output reliably, rather than assuming that every article was stored in a standard form.
Helping readers move through the archive
Multilevel menus give the site’s sections clearer hierarchy. The mobile experience was reworked around an infinite news feed, keeping readers within a continuous browsing flow. These changes extend an existing publication; they are not presented as a ground-up build of DGL.ru.
The outcome
Content feed integration and revised navigation
Reworked mobile feed within the existing publication

What kind of website work was this?
The engagement improved reading and distribution around an established technology publication, rather than creating a new magazine.
