The challenge
Bona Fide had a Shopify store, a growing activewear collection and new designs prepared by its own team. The brief was to implement those designs and improve the shopping journey without replacing the platform. Product selection, customer accounts and loyalty features all needed to work within the same experience.
The approach
Through a partner, I contributed to adapting the client-supplied layouts in Shopify across the homepage, catalogue, account and supporting pages. The implementation connected the selected shopping and marketing tools, refined navigation and removed unnecessary theme changes and apps. The work covered implementation and integration; the visual concept came from the client.
The project, in detail
The images show the interface and its context. Captions distinguish project archives from current-site views.
Finding the right product
Product Filter & Search was configured around the store’s categories, colours and sizes. Product metafields carried the extra attributes required by the design. The desktop navigation became more compact, while the mobile menu kept a direct route to the loyalty program.

A connected shopping journey
The account area brought together order history, customer details and loyalty benefits. The bonus programme was connected to the cart so discounts were visible during shopping; outfit recommendations, reviews and social sign-in followed the same supplied design. Each integration had to fit the supplied interface instead of appearing as a separate widget.
Theme cleanup and handover
The handover included checks of desktop and mobile layouts and the behaviour of connected apps. Unnecessary builders and conflicting extensions were removed, alongside work on image and icon loading. Marketing integrations included analytics and a collaboration application page for creators.
