The challenge

The cosmetics store had a new design and an existing set of commerce functions. The challenge was to rebuild the presentation without making the business adopt a different ordering and administration system.

The approach

A custom WordPress and WooCommerce theme brought the client-supplied layouts into the store. Existing functionality was carried into the new storefront, with adjustments to the plugin-based setup where needed.

The project, in detail

The images show the interface and its context. Captions distinguish project archives from current-site views.

Design beyond the default template

The supplied page structure did not follow typical WooCommerce layouts. Frontend work therefore focused on translating that composition into custom templates while retaining the behaviour customers expect from a shop.

One purchase journey

The implementation covers catalogue browsing, product pages, basket and checkout. Those ordinary steps remain the functional backbone even when the visual presentation changes substantially.

Preserving existing functions

The project scope centred on the theme and the existing WooCommerce setup. The handover preserved the previously implemented shop functions and left content population with the client.

Did the new design replace the existing buying flow?

No. Client-supplied layouts became custom WooCommerce templates while the catalogue, basket, checkout and established shop functions remained in place.
