The challenge
The cruise operator needed to help visitors navigate routes, vessels and departures before buying a ticket. Discovery on the homepage had to connect with the detailed catalogue, so a visitor would not lose their selections when moving between pages.
The approach
The WordPress booking catalogue combined online payment with several ways to explore the offer. The case presents the platform delivered in 2020; routes shown in the historical screenshots do not indicate current availability.
The project, in detail
The images show the interface and its context. Captions distinguish project archives from current-site views.
Filters that carry the search forward
The compact homepage filter shares its data with the full catalogue filter. Selected attributes can therefore follow the visitor into the detailed search view, connecting the first browsing step to the eventual choice of a cruise.
Routes made visible
An interactive map presents destinations, while a popular-cruises section can be curated manually or generated from ticket-sales data. These views complement the catalogue rather than becoming separate collections that the team must keep aligned by hand.
The outcome
Connected homepage and catalogue filtering
Route map and managed popular-cruise selections
